So... I've been watching Hung recently. I like the show... really fuckin' great performances, story is picking up now in the second episode... I'm diggin' it all around. And watching it tonight made me think of my old Pig strip. Haven't thought about the story in awhile... I use the term story lightly here. Anyway... watching Hung made me rethink Pig... now I wanna do a weekly strip... something dirty and fun... about a chubby bearish fella who decides to market himself as a professional Pig... no job too kinky.
I'm all forms of excited about doin' this.

This message was left for me in one of my sketch posts... how fantastic is that? I mean, seriously!! I don't take it to heart, my dear livejournalers. I already know my sense of humor is pedantic, so really, he isn't telling me anything I didn't already know. Imitate? Holy fuck, I imitate someone? I'm pretty sure I wear my inspirations out in the open... I don't try to pretend as if my art style is something new and different... but it sure is my style of work, and I'm proud of it. As for breaking my hands, sorry... it just won't happen. I like my hands too much and hate the idea of breaking them, so the world will have to go on being dark and dreary for a while longer. Anonymous Guy, thank you for actually making me smile... heh.

So the end is near. Today, I started down the road to the end of Sleazy Pizza. A real end, ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) benchilada. An ending I'm satisfied with. I have a problem doing endings. It's true. It's 'cause I'm never satisfied... I always feel that my endings pretty much suck as they begin, 'cause I never know just how to end it right. I always have more and more ideas that want out. But this... this is perfect. It ends the only way it could end. What comes after that? Well, I have quite a few ideas... one might be doing Monsters, Anonymous. I like the idea of a chubby vampire who has terrible self esteem because he's "the friend", rather than the "hot mysterious man". A black man who turns into a werewolf... but looks more like a poodle. Gay Frankenstein. And more. Or maybe a sci-fi story I've got tooling around dealing with my favorite subject of "other realities".Or maybe, just maybe, I'll do a story called "100 Days of Rain", about four friends stuck in a Brooklyn Apt during the worst storm to hit New York.
Who knows... I just know I'm excited about this. |
